Gazprom IFRS net profit falls 41.4% to 1.2 tln rbl in 2022

MOSCOW, May 23 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian gas giant Gazprom dropped 41.4% to 1.226 trillion rubles in 2022, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a report on Tuesday.

Revenue rose 14% to 11.674 trillion rubles, while sales profit fell 19.7% to 1.935 trillion rubles.

The company said in its Telegram channel citing Deputy CEO Famil Sadygov that earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to record 3.6 trillion rubles.

The net debt amounted to 3.8 trillion rubles. The net debt to EBITDA ratio was at 1.1x, remaining near the lower boundary of the comfortable range, the company said.

Gazprom expects investments to reach 3.056 trillion rubles in 2023 after 2.258 trillion rubles in 2022, the company said.
